Yozo Office markets itself as yet another cheap alternative to the dominating office software that exists. It sets itself apart from the competition with a single integrated program for all three of its applications. Where office programs are concerned, this product has set itself apart from the competition with a strong feature set, though it still struggles to deliver a ground-breaking solution to the home and office setting.
The unfortunate downfall of Yozo Software is the applications included in this suite. The absence of an email client and database manager application weighs heavily against this product overall, though it does at least provide the three main applications. You can manage your documents with Text Documents, edit data with Spreadsheets and create amazing slideshows with Presentations.
With Yozo Office, you can perform work with multiple windows in the program. From the main interface, you can split your screen up into multiple windows to display a document, spreadsheet and slideshow. All other home office software suites generally require you to run separate applications in order to access these different aspects of the software. Yozo Office, on the other hand, has condensed the user experience to be something you can participate in from a single screen.
Yozo Office maintains a product that is quite easy to use. The look and feel of the office programs is similar to that of more popular office software on the market. This helps to establish a lower learning curve. And as the end user, you shouldn't have to waste time figuring out a product that should be increasing productivity. Home office software is something that should be easily and quickly learned, and this suite accomplishes that. Navigation and layout of options are quite sensible, though at times it feels like the toolbars are cluttered. Formatting tools exist in abundance and almost barrage you with things you can do for your document.
Support is pretty simplistic for Yozo Office. Through the support section of the product website, you have access to a small series of FAQs. These unfortunately answer only the most basic of questions regarding the software. Should the FAQs fail to answer your question, you can email their support department. Response times may take upwards of several days, though you will receive a response eventually. In addition to this, live support is available, though we were never able to test this since support was offline whenever we checked. We suspect this is due to the time zone difference as Yozosoft’s head office is located in China.
Yozo Office has succeeded in creating a product that stands out on the market. Numerous imitators exist in an ever-present struggle to keep up with the best office suites on the market, yet few are able to accomplish that to any effective degree. This application performs well in that regard, though there is still much that could be done to improve it, such as including an email client.
It runs its word processor, spreadsheet editor and slideshow creator applications all from the same program.
