Included Software:  

EIOffice Enterprise doesn’t feature the same comprehensive productivity tools as some of our leading selections for best office software do. EIOffice Enterprise is, however, still quite the performer. Unlike the majority of office software suites we’ve reviewed on this site, EIOffice Enterprise is not a series of separate programs each carrying out a separate function. Instead, EIOffice Enterprise manages spreadsheet, presentation and word processing tasks simultaneously.

Word Processing and Spreadsheet Features:  

Somewhat surprisingly, EIOffice Enterprise does manage to carry out the tasks of what is usually accomplished by multiple programs quite effectively. EIOffice Enterprise even opens and edits standard spreadsheet and document file types from Microsoft Office 2007. The only problem we encountered however, is reconverting created and edit files back into more common file types. The *.eio file extension used by EIOffice Enterprise is not compatible with any office software we’re aware of. Thankfully, you can manually save files into more universally recognized file types such as Microsoft Office and text files.

Key Productivity Features:  

Unlike most of our other selections for top office software, EIOffice Enterprise does not include useful time management, email and address book utilities. Given the price tag though, we think it is still a decent program for individuals or small businesses with alternative solutions to other productivity issues.

Our favorite feature on EIOffice Enterprise is the built-in Science Editor. It features a series of templates designed for chemistry, physics, math and other disciplines so that you can present and carry out scientific calculations in a graphically appealing and accurate manner.

Customer and Community Support:  

EIOffice Enterprise does include a user support forum, but it is only open to registered users. We would have liked to see public forums in addition to archived tech support issues. The manual and help files that come with the program should address most issues. Unfortunately, EIOffice Enterprise doesn’t have a very active online community to help beginners.

Ultimately, while EIOffice Enterprise is competent at undertaking basic word processing, spreadsheet editing and presentation construction, we found that we prefer more traditional programs for their more advanced features and ease of access. If you’re looking for a word processer with extra features, then EIOffice Enterprise is a great candidate. If you’re in the market for a versatile productivity suite, you might have better luck with some of our other products.
